About Me
I’m a 17 year old male New Zealander with a hat. I was vegetarian for a long time until I stopped. I live in Birmingham, UK. My girlfriend’s name is Hannah and I have two dead goldfish, Fluffy and Spotty. They’re all awesome.
I enjoy playing around with Photoshop and Illustrator (CS4). I have a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet which is really good. I would like to be a graphic designer when I’m older but I have a long way to go yet. I’m looking at tutorials online and trying to learn as much as I can. It’s really interesting
I’d also like to be a professional musician. I play the drums and guitar but I’ve played the drums for a lot longer. I got a drum kit for my 16th birthday and I practice pretty much every day. I also do a lot of recording and making electronic music for the stuff I do at college.
I like any kind of music, but normally listen to heavy metal or rock artists like System of a Down, Korn, Lamb of God and Disturbed. I also quite like ambient and minimalist music by people like Brian Eno, Steve Reich and Phillip Glass. It helps me sleep.
I enjoy playing R.P.G. (roleplaying games) and F.P.S. (first-person shooter) games like Unreal Tournament 2004, Oblivion and Dark Messiah: Might and Magic. I have a subscription to the PC GAMER magazine which I love to read. It comes with a double-sided DVD with demos and game mods (modifications). From one of these I got a full version of Trackmania Nations Forever (a racing game with ridiculous stunts). It’s pretty cool.
I am a past-tense avid reader, but still read every now and then. I prefer fiction novels or fantasy and my favourite author is Clive Barker. His books aren’t the best written, but they’re really descriptive and always quite graphic.
I am in the ‘Gifted and Talented’ group at school, so I get to go to geek camp every now and then, but usually ‘G&T’ is just more homework. My favourite classes at college are Philosophy and Music Tech.
So that’s me – looking forward to your comments on the blog.
